Common Questions
Can under 18s rent paddleboards and kayaks?
Is any experience required?
For kayak rentals you don’t have to have done a lesson – if you have not previously paddled in a sit on top kayak, our staff will show you the basic paddle technique before you go out. In order to rent paddle boards you have to have experience, either from a lesson with us or another provider. This applies to all members of your group should you book for more people. You can book a lesson HERE. All participants have to be able to swim.
What do we need to bring and what are your facilities?
We have separate mens and womens changing rooms, toilets and showers on site. We also have lockers for valuables, but as we don’t take any responsibility for lost, stolen or damaged items, we recommend not to bring anything of value on your trip with us.
Participants need: swimwear, a towel and an old pair of runners that they don’t mind getting wet (mandatory for children, optional for adults).
Wetsuits can be rented against a charge of €3, buoyancy aids and helmets are provided free of charge.
Do we need to sign a waiver?
Yes, all participants have to sign a waiver before they can go on a session with us. We offer a digital waiver that can be shared with other participants by Whatsapp/Email. Here is a link to the text of the waiver.
Where can we go during our paddle?
We are using public transport. How can we get to you?
We are located a 10 minute walk from the Grand Canal Dock DART station and a 10-15 minute walk from The Point LUAS stop. Bus routes that stop close by on Ringsend Road are 1, 15a, 15b, 15d, 47, 56a and 77a.
