Once-off School Tour Programmes

Our once-off School Tour Programmes have proven immensely popular with Primary and Secondary Schools and offer a unique experience to schoolchildren in a safe and thoroughly enjoyable environment. Such programmes can be offered as Full Day (5 hours) or Half day (3 hours) activities in Autumn, Spring and Summer.

NEW in 2014: We have now teamed up with our partner Wakedock to offer you Dublin’s most exciting school tour with activities including wakeboarding, stand up paddleboarding, kayaking, windsurfing and sailing.

Sample itineraries of what students can expect on each type of programme are outlined below:

Full Day Programme – Sample Itinerary

Start and Finish Times can be arranged to suit the schedule of your school.

10am Group Arrives at Surfdock!
10.05am Group are introduced to their instructors and briefed on their Morning Activity (Activity can be Sailing / Kayaking / Windsurfing / Paddleboarding).
10.10am Group are given Wetsuits and Lifejackets and get changed.
10.15am Students participate in ‘Land Drill’ Activity prior to going on the water. (A Land Drill is a land based run through of the activity before students go on the water).
10.35am Students begin their Morning Activity.
12pm Conclusion of Morning Activity.
12-12.45pm Lunch at the Clubhouse. (Students bring a packed lunch)
12.45pm Students are briefed on their second activity, and following a Land Drill go back onto the water. This activity finishes up with a swim in the dock and a pier jump!
2.30pm Arrive back at the Clubhouse. Time to get changed.
2.45pm Debriefing on how the Day Went and Presentation of Certificates to Students
3pm Hometime!

Please note that this programme can be offered during any 5 hour daylight period Monday to Saturday (subject to availability).

Half Day Programme – Sample Itinerary

10am Group Arrives at Surfdock!

12.25pm Conclusion of Activity.

12.45pm Debriefing from Head Instructor on performance of group. Certificates awarded to all participants.
1pm Hometime!

Students receive certification for completion of every module (i.e. Sailing / Kayaking / Windsurfing / Paddleboarding) they complete.
